Minhaj Interfaith and Welfare Foundation (MIWF) Kolkata embarked on a compassionate mission to bring warmth and comfort to those in need. Following the noble tradition of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who considered clothing the poor an essential act of charity, MIWF initiated a blanket distribution drive. This virtuous endeavor is rooted in the teachings of our Prophet, as exemplified in a Hadith narrated by Hadrat Bilal (Radiyallahu Anhu). He described how the Prophet (peace be upon him) spent his wealth, emphasizing his generosity towards those lacking clothing. Whenever someone in need approached the Prophet (peace be upon him), he would command assistance in the form of providing garments, ensuring that they were clothed and fed.In the spirit of this sunnah, the MIWF Kolkata team tirelessly worked to identify impoverished families in ten different areas. Their dedication culminated in the distribution of 1500 blankets, extending warmth and comfort to those who might otherwise struggle in the cold. This charitable act not only reflects the compassion embedded in Islamic teachings but also serves as a heartwarming reminder of the importance of clothing the less fortunate.
