Report on Humanitarian Response to Flooding in Kutch Region
On August 29, 2024, the Kutch region experienced severe rainfall, leading to significant flooding in various areas. The heavy downpour resulted in widespread disruption, leaving many families without access to food and essential supplies for over two days. In response to this humanitarian crisis, the Minhaj Interfaith and Welfare Foundation Kutch mobilized its resources to assist the affected communities.
Impact of the Flooding:
The flooding caused by the torrential rains severely impacted daily life in the region. Many households were cut off from essential services, and the lack of food and clean drinking water posed serious health risks. The situation was particularly dire in urban centers such as Bhuj, Anjar, and Mundra, where the flooding was most pronounced.

In light of the urgent need for assistance, the Minhaj Interfaith and Welfare Foundation Kutch took immediate action to support those affected by the disaster. The organization prepared and distributed a total of 800 food packets, which included essential items such as:
