On September 18, 2024, a total of 22 children at the Sahara School for Children with Special Needs received free sensory kits, each valued at Rs. 2000/-, in a heartwarming initiative led by the Association of People with Disability (APD) in collaboration with Minhaj Interfaith and Welfare Foundation. These sensory kits are designed to stimulate cognitive and sensory development, which is crucial for children with special needs.
The distribution of these kits marks a significant step toward empowering these young individuals by providing them with tools that will enhance their learning experiences. Sensory development plays a fundamental role in building neural pathways, improving motor skills, and encouraging emotional regulation, all of which are essential for the holistic growth of children with special needs. The collaboration between APD and Minhaj Interfaith exemplifies the power of community partnerships in addressing vital needs and supporting marginalized groups.
