In the wake of devastating floods caused by incessant rains and overflowing rivers, the state of Assam faced extensive damage, with houses washed away, and crops and livestock lost. Amid the challenging aftermath of this natural disaster, Minhaj Interfaith & Welfare Foundation (MIWF) stepped in to provide much-needed relief to the worst flood-affected areas.
On May 31, 2016, the dedicated MIWF team swung into action, delivering vital relief materials to families in the severely affected regions of Patarkandi (Karimganj District), Levarputa (Cachar district), and Algapur (Hailakandi district). The relief packages included rationed food supplies and tin shades, offering immediate assistance to those grappling with the devastating consequences of the floods.
Furthermore, MIWF's collaborative approach, involving local MQI teams and volunteers from Kolkata, ensured the efficient coordination and distribution of relief materials to the flood-affected areas in Assam. Through their timely intervention and unwavering commitment to helping those in need, MIWF made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals and families grappling with the aftermath of the devastating floods.
